BIXI or the little bicycle that shouldn't, part II

Looks like I was wrong, people. Time magazine has just ranked Montreal’s new PBS systems #19 in their Top 50 Inventions of 2008! If you check all 50 inventions, you’ll be able to see for yourself why a Rent-A-Bike made that dubious list. It's still just a bloody bicycle folks, not the cure for the common cold! Was there nothing else invented in 2008 to better our lives? Has Man reached Entropy when it names a prime number (#29) as one of the best inventions of 2008? Time to jump ship, me thinks!

Since it’s so meaninglessly cheap and easy to win an award these days, I’m gonna take the next 10-12 weeks off to overhaul (pimp) my yo-yo and fiercely market my "new" invention. It should be ready for unveiling by winter’s end. I believe that fame and fortune will, by far, outweigh the lost of pay, benefits, family and friends. I must aim high...after all, it's Time Magazine!

I went to the Time magazine site to have a look at this so called awesome #19 and I never made it. Every single entry has it's own page, even the ones with as little as 10 lines of text and a small image. Mr Time Magazine: My computerised InterWeb-book looking at wiki thingy has this wonderful little invention called a scroll bar and I use this teeny little wheel on my mouse to move that bar up and down and the whole page moves along with it. I know, sit down, that is a lot to take in.

Of course they do this to serve up ads and if you see the same ad 50 they get to charge the advertisers 50 times as much. But my browser has AdBlock Plus, so I never see your silly ads. However my A.D.D. kicks in after the second or third page and I just hit the Stumble Upon button to get some other site's top 10. I can almost handle 10 without getting too bored but the last few had better be some pretty awesome stuff.

As for the Burg being wrong about something, I am shocked!
